Junior Members Certificate – Not showing BDI Insurance
There is no BDI insurance contained in the Junior membership fee of £9.50 which is why no certificate of insurance is issued on membership renewal.
It is generally assumed that juniors will be managing bees that are insured via a registered or partner member. If this is not the case then the junior needs to be charged the basic BDI subscription for the first 3 colonies and additional premiums as appropriate.
Be aware that Junior Members cannot have insurance. If they keep bees in their own right you need to amend the first line of their address to Mr A Adult (on behalf of J Junior). This can be the name of any responsible adult.
